Main Street Matcha Inc. (“Main Street Matcha”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website mainstreetmatcha.com and sells products to customers in Canada and the United States (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Our online store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform we use to sell our products.
You must be the age of majority in your province/territory or state to purchase. You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with the site, attempt unauthorised access, or introduce harmful code.
If you create an account, you are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Contact hello@mainstreetmatcha.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
We aim to display product details, availability, and pricing accurately; however, errors may occur. Colours can vary by screen. We may correct inaccuracies, change information, or discontinue products at any time without notice.
Shipping options, timelines, and costs appear at checkout. Title and risk of loss pass to you once your order is handed over to the carrier. Delivery estimates are not guarantees and may be affected by customs processing, weather conditions, or carrier delays.
All U.S. orders ship DDU, meaning duties, taxes, and import fees, if any, may be collected by the carrier upon delivery. As of November 2025, ceremonial matcha entering the U.S. is duty free, but additional handling, processing, or brokerage fees may still apply. These charges are not included in your order total. If a shipment is marked “delivered” but cannot be located, please check with neighbours/building staff and the carrier; then email hello@mainstreetmatcha.com. Replacements are not guaranteed once a carrier confirms delivery, but we will do our best to help.
Canada:Most matcha products are zero-rated for GST/HST. Any applicable GST/HST/PST/QST on taxable items will be shown at checkout.
United States:We do not currently charge U.S. sales tax. Orders ship DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid), which means duties and import fees may be collected by the carrier or customs upon delivery. As of November 2025, matcha is duty-free when entering the U.S., but other import fees may still apply.
Refused or undeliverable shipments:If an order is refused or returned to us as undeliverable, original shipping charges, return shipping costs, and any duties or import fees billed back to us may be deducted from any refund (if a refund applies under our policies).
Matcha contains naturally occurring caffeine. If you are pregnant or nursing, have a medical condition, take medication, or have allergies/sensitivities, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use. Do not consume products that appear damaged or tampered with.

You confirm you have the necessary rights and that your User Content is lawful and non-infringing.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Main Street Matcha and our directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, savings, data, or goodwill; or replacement costs, arising out of or related to your use of the Services or products, even if foreseeable. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Main Street Matcha and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, except where applicable consumer law in your place of residence provides otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, extreme weather, fire, flood, epidemic, labour disputes, war, government action, carrier delays, or outages of utilities or networks.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with policies referenced here (including our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy), are the entire agreement between you and Main Street Matcha regarding the Services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications.
We may provide notices to you by email or by posting to the site. Sections that by their nature should survive (including final sale, limitations of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.
Main Street Matcha is certified organic under the Canada Organic Regime (COR). All organic claims on our products refer to certification granted by Ecocert Canada, our accredited certifying body. Only products that are certified organic through Ecocert Canada will be marketed or sold as organic on our site, packaging, or promotional materials.
Our organic certification covers the matcha powders we import. Tools, accessories, and non-food items are not considered organic products and are not certified.
