Main Street Matcha
Our Organic Kokoro Blend is a ceremonial matcha made from a selection of premium Japanese cultivars, including Okuyutaka, Yabukita, Okumidori, and Tsuyuhikari. Shade-grown and stone-milled in Japan, it delivers a smooth, full-bodied taste with rich umami, mellow sweetness, and a warm, comforting chocolatey depth. Perfect for drinking on its own or enjoying in a latte, Kokoro offers a more elevated way to experience Japanese matcha.

Hot Matcha Sift 2 scoops (about 3g) of matcha into your bowl. Add ¼–⅓ cup (60–80 ml) of 167°F / 75°C water and whisk in a zig-zag motion until smooth and frothy. Pour the matcha into your cup. To sweeten, stir in 1–2 teaspoons of your favourite honey or maple syrup. Enjoy as is, or add ½–⅔ cup (120–150 ml) of steamed or frothed milk of your choice for a cappuccino-style matcha latte. Iced Matcha Sift 2 scoops (about 3g) of matcha into your bowl. Add ¼–⅓ cup (60–80 ml) of 167°F / 75°C water and whisk in a zig-zag motion until smooth. Fill a glass with ice. Add 1–2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup if desired, then add ½–¾ cup (120–180 ml) of cold milk of your choice. Pour the matcha over top.
I enjoyed the blend, doesn’t have a taste of a real matcha but I also haven’t mastered making it yet. The shipping and purchasing went very smoothly and i appreciate that

We just wanted to address your comment on the taste. The world of matcha is actually a lot like the world of wine, where there are many different types of matcha, either enjoyed on their own or blended with other cultivars to achieve a certain flavour profile.
The Kokoro Blend is crafted to create a more full-bodied profile with chocolatey, truffle-like, and umami notes rather than a grassy profile, which is often what many people associate with matcha from local coffee shops. It is crafted entirely from green tea leaves sourced from Shizuoka, Japan and contains no additives or additional ingredients, just 100% pure matcha.
For the best experience, we’d recommend using about 3g of matcha whisked with just over 1/4 cup of 75°C water. If making a latte, we’d recommend adding about 1/2 cup of your milk of choice. If you'd like a touch of sweetness, maple syrup or honey pair really nicely as well.
