The Bamboo Whisk is handmade from a single piece of bamboo and carefully carved to create dozens of fine prongs that move easily through matcha as you whisk. Designed in the traditional chasen shape, it helps break up clumps and produce the delicate micro-foam layer that sits on top of a properly prepared bowl of matcha. Flexible, lightweight, and made for everyday use, it’s the essential tool for preparing matcha at home.

The Method

Hot Matcha
Sift 2 scoops (about 3g) of matcha into your bowl. Add ¼–⅓ cup (60–80 ml) of 167°F / 75°C water and whisk in a zig-zag motion until smooth and frothy. Pour the matcha into your cup. To sweeten, stir in 1–2 teaspoons of your favourite honey or maple syrup. Enjoy as is, or add ½–⅔ cup (120–150 ml) of steamed or frothed milk of your choice for a cappuccino-style matcha latte.

Iced Matcha
Sift 2 scoops (about 3g) of matcha into your bowl. Add ¼–⅓ cup (60–80 ml) of 167°F / 75°C water and whisk in a zig-zag motion until smooth. Fill a glass with ice. Add 1–2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup if desired, then add ½–¾ cup (120–180 ml) of cold milk of your choice. Pour the matcha over top.
